General information
Doctors sometimes like to joke that in the outpatient urology, after prostate massage, instillation is the second favorite technique. It is used for various disorders - with recurrent infections and inflammatory pathologies, it restores the mucous membrane, and in the presence of tumors, it destroys cancer cells.
The extreme need for instillation of the bladder in cystitis is due to the fact that a sufficient amount of medication gets into it using this method to remove pathogenic microflora. The concentration of antibiotics in the organ with traditional administration often does not give the desired effect.
Procedure
For instillation of the urethra, drugs based on dimexide or dimethyl sulfoxide are used, which help them successfully penetrate the walls of the urinary apparatus. Ozonized solutions also have an antiseptic effect, to the action of which microbes, viruses or fungi are extremely unstable and soon die.
In case of chronic inflammation, infusion of local immunity stimulants is used (for example, cycloferon liniment).
The main advantages of such manipulation can be called:
- local effect of medical solutions with deep penetration;
- significant time (approximately 2-3 hours) of the drug being in the organ cavity, which gives it the opportunity to effectively manifest itself;
- the ability to administer ozonized solutions, which is effective for antiseptic purposes.
It is important to know that before the manipulation, patients need to undergo special antibacterial therapy, which is prescribed to each individually.
What does urinary instillation look like bladder
To administer the medication, take a medium-volume disposable syringe and a #8-12 catheter. Before starting, the woman needs to urinate. The solution should be at room temperature when drawn into the syringe (the solution heats up when dimeskid is added).
The area of the external opening of the bladder, like the tip of the catheter, is treated with antiseptics. Then the drug is slowly injected into the body. After the procedure, you should refrain from urinating for 1 to 3 hours to achieve the maximum positive result. Usually the course is 7-10 sessions over 2-3 weeks. If necessary, repeat only after a month.
When instilling the bladder with collargol, a burning sensation is possible, which is acceptable, but the doctor must warn the patient about such sensations.
The duration of the procedure is 5-10 minutes, followed by retention of medication for up to 3 hours (if possible). The longer, the better!
Indications
The technique is prescribed when infections are detected in the bladder, urethra, and during chemotherapy.
Contraindications
This process is contraindicated in acute cystitis.
Please note that using this technique with folk remedies at home is dangerous and will only harm your health! Self-installation of the catheter may cause organ injury!
Prices and clinics
This complex drug therapy is carried out only in a hospital setting by a practicing specialist. Depending on the clinic, the price for instillation may vary, but on average it is about 500 rubles. You can find out more about the service on the portal .
