SMV-therapy. Prices, reviews, ratings
General information
A magnetron is a device used in CMV therapy. It generates an ultra-high-frequency electromagnetic field, the rays of which are transmitted to the emitter and from there in the form of centimeter waves to the patient's body.
The dosage of rays is measured in watts and is classified by output
power, thermal sensations (weak, medium and strong heat): weak thermal, thermal and strong thermal doses. The first two options are used more often.
There are two main ways to conduct SMV therapy:
- Remote - the emitter "works" at a distance of 5-7 cm from the body surface, while an air cushion or gap is formed.
- Contact - the emitter is installed close to the body or inserted into a cavity (vagina, rectum).
The duration of one session for one field does not exceed 15 minutes, in total it lasts 30-40 minutes. The course consists of 5-8 procedures at the discretion of the doctor.
Procedure
Preparation
The patient partially undresses, exposing the area that will be treated with rays, lies down or sits. It is also necessary to remove jewelry and other accessories made of metal.
CMB therapy
The physiotherapist sets the necessary parameters on the magnetron: the dosage of waves, the power of the electric field. After this, he begins to move the sensor over the surface of the body, holding it at each desired point for 5-15 minutes. Otherwise, it is pressed tightly or inserted into the cavity.
The duration of exposure is determined in the process and is based on the patient's sensations.
Rehabilitation period
After the therapy, the patient should rest for at least 20 minutes.
Indications
Treatment is prescribed for the following pathologies:
- hypertension, inflammation in the acute and subacute phase, occlusive diseases;
- joints and spine (arthrosis, arthritis, myositis, osteochondrosis, epicondylitis);
- ENT organs and respiratory system (tonsillitis, bronchitis, inflammation of the ear and tonsils, pneumonia, asthma);
- Gastrointestinal tract (ulcer, gastritis);
- peripheral nervous system (radiculitis, neuralgia, plexitis);
- reproductive system;
- skin.
Contraindications
The technique is not recommended for:
- pregnancy;
- malignant tumors;
- epilepsy;
- bleeding;
- pulmonary tuberculosis;
- implants in the area of the rays.
Complications
After a thermal dose, a slight burning sensation and hyperemia may be observed.
Prices and clinics
SMV therapy should be carried out exclusively in outpatient or inpatient settings by qualified physiotherapists. You can see the list of such institutions on the website
