General Information
During infection, structural damage, or organ necrosis, antinuclear antibodies (ANA) are produced in response to foreign agents (antigens). These antibodies interact with ribonucleic acids and related proteins, negatively affecting nuclear structure and cytoplasm, contributing to cellular protein breakdown.
They are produced in conditions such as:
