Symptoms

Couperose can be identified by the following symptoms:

  • vascular mesh in the form of “stars”.

Diagnostics

A cosmetologist identifies the presence of rosacea in a patient. The specialist conducts an initial examination of the patient, prescribes special tests to determine the individual characteristics of the patient. The patient is recommended to make an appointment with a dermatologist.

Treatment

Hospitals offer a wide range of special services for the treatment of rosacea:

  • electrocoagulation;
  • laser;
  • skin rejuvenation techniques;
  • phototherapy (photocoagulation);

Prevention

The main preventive measures to prevent the development of rosacea in humans include:

  • professional, high-quality, regular facial skin care;

  • reduce the consumption of foods with a high fat content (e.g. cheese, sour cream);
  • eat foods with a high silicon content (e.g. Jerusalem artichoke, buckwheat and oatmeal, beans, peas, corn);
  • refuse to use scrubs, alcohol lotions;
  • refuse to use rough towels.
