General information
The use of pulsed currents helps restore tissues, organs and their systems, nerves that have lost function due to injuries or diseases. The impulses cause muscle movement and contraction, reflexively control metabolic processes, and provide energy to the working muscles.
This technique promotes:
- inhibition of muscle atrophy;
- increased blood and lymph flow;
- increased permeability of vascular walls;

Procedure
Preparation
A physical therapist examination is required. A minimum of clinical tests (blood and urine) are also taken.
Electrostimulation of the bladder
The patient is positioned on the couch. An active electrode is placed above the pubis, and an indifferent one is placed in the lumbar region. A sinusoidal modulated current is applied until a tingling sensation is felt. The session lasts up to 15 minutes. The full course of treatment consists of 10-15 sessions.
Rehabilitation period
After therapy, the kidney and bladder area must not be overcooled.
Indications
The technique is indicated for women in the following cases:
- inflammation and dysfunction of the bladder;
- urination disorder.
The therapy is prescribed for men:
- sexual disorders;
- urinary incontinence.
Contraindications
The procedure is strictly prohibited for pregnant women and patients with good or malignant tumors, diseases of the central nervous system.
It is not recommended to attend sessions of electrical stimulation of the bladder at elevated temperature, inflammatory diseases, after a heart attack or stroke.

As a rule, no consequences arise.
