Electromyostimulation. Prices, reviews, ratings
General information
It is used in post-traumatic rehabilitation, in sports medicine (additional passive training), diseases of the nervous system (central and peripheral), in cosmetology (electromyostimulation face).
The technique is effective for relaxation, improving the general condition, increasing the tone of the skin, blood vessels and subcutaneous tissues (fat deposits are broken down), electrical myostimulation of the heart, bladder, breathing.
The method is used to eliminate wrinkles. An incorrectly selected regimen can provoke the effects of abnormal contraction of muscle structures. A specialist can use complex manipulations that simultaneously stimulate many muscle groups.
Procedure
Preparation
A consultation with a physiotherapist is required. The main parameters of the process are determined - the shape of the pulse and its frequency, duration and frequency of therapy.
Electromyostimulation
Electrodes are placed on the problem area of the body. A complex of current impulses (single, series, pauses between them and repetitions), which depends on the type and stage of the disease, penetrating into the tissues, promotes intense muscle contraction. The equipment used must be certified and of high quality. The electrodes are placed symmetrically. Sessions are held every 1-2 days, lasting from 10 to 25 minutes. The full course consists of 10-15 sessions.
Rehabilitation period
A recovery period is not provided. Proper nutrition is recommended.
Indications
Electromyostimulation is used for:
- excess weight;
- sagging, flabby, aging skin;
- cellulite;
- neuromuscular pathologies;
- circulatory system disorders (arterial and venous);
- paralysis and hypertonicity of fibers;
- fighting wrinkles and facial swelling on all skin types.
Contraindications
In case of using the electromyostimulation method, contraindications will be the following:
- individual intolerance to electrical impulses;
- menstruation, lactation, pregnancy;
- acute inflammatory and purulent processes;
- urolithiasis;
- contracture of facial muscles;
- diseases of the cardiovascular system, thyroid gland, skin;
- the presence of pacemakers or metal implants;
- oncology;
- thrombophlebitis;
- fractures, dislocations (until the body is restored);
- mental disorders.
Complications
The procedure should not be performed at home. Incorrectly performed therapy can lead to distortion of correct muscle forms.
