Diagnostics and treatment measures in psychiatry

To prescribe treatment, a psychiatrist needs laboratory test results:

• thyroid status glands;
• detailed formula of pituitary gland hormones;
• results of adrenal hormone studies.

Additionally, magnetic resonance imaging, encephalography, and angiogram of cerebral vessels are prescribed.
