General information
The operation involves a preliminary selection of the method of breast reduction and marking. The duration of the operation depends on the method and takes on average from one to three hours. Rehabilitation course
Reducing the size of the breast requires mandatory wearing of compression underwear. It must be worn for at least 3 weeks. In the first days after the operation, the patient experiences slight pain, which is relieved by painkillers prescribed by the doctor. Taking warm baths, as well as visiting a bathhouse and sauna, gyms are prohibited. For a year after the operation, you can sunbathe only if the stitches are covered.

Contraindications
Breast reduction surgery cannot be performed on patients who have:
- cardiovascular, immune and chronic diseases;
- diabetes;
- endocrine system and blood diseases;
- weight problems and disorders.
The operation is also contraindicated for nulliparous and pregnant women, nursing mothers.
Complications
Breast reduction surgery can lead to the following complications:
- bleeding or inflammation at the suture sites;
- development of skin necrosis;
- loss of nipple sensitivity or the ability to lactation;
- breast asymmetry.
Severe complications can occur in smoking patients and older women.
