Coral peeling is a method of cleansing the epidermal layer and removing dead cells using cosmetic products that contain seaweed. The procedure is very effective and solves a lot of cosmetic problems, while being a natural method.

The effectiveness of coral peeling

Human skin cells are regularly renewed by exfoliation of the keratinized upper layer. With age or due to hormonal features, this mechanism is disrupted or slowed down. The skin thickens, which contributes to the formation of wrinkles, clogged pores, inflamed nodules. Therefore, modern cosmetology has such a procedure as peeling, one of the varieties of which is coral, containing coral chips.

Coral facial peeling combines both mechanical and chemical peeling elements. Crushed coral crystals loosen and exfoliate the upper layers of keratinized cells, and the active substances of the peeling affect the entire depth of the epidermis.

The mixture used during the procedure is very useful, since it includes not only seaweed, but also other components: vitamins C and E, minerals, herbs, plant proteins, salts, oils. The technique regenerates the skin by softening and penetrating the surface of nutrients.

Advantages of coral peeling:

  • strengthening of capillaries;
  • stimulation of vascular resorption;
  • antiseptic effect;
  • saturation of the dermis with useful microelements;
  • normalization of blood flow;
  • rejuvenation.

Cosmetologists regularly face the question of what kind of facial peeling to do, and the choice very often falls on coral, as evidenced by numerous reviews from specialists. They confirm the excellent results and high efficiency of the technique.

The process of coral peeling

The coral peeling itself lasts 3-5 minutes. The whole procedure takes no more than half an hour. The depth of the coral peeling effect can be adjusted by the intensity and duration of rubbing the preparation.

Coral peeling is best done in the fall or winter, when solar activity is minimal. The course is 1-2 procedures per year with an interval of 3-4 weeks. This time and quantity is enough for the dermal structures to fully recover and renew.

Preparation

Before doing coral peeling, you need to come for a consultation with an experienced specialist.

The preparatory stage can be the implementation of a number of measures. A dermatocosmetologist may recommend doing mechanical cleaning a few days before the session, which will clear clogged pores.

Before peeling, the face and décolleté area are disinfected. Lotion or soap is applied with massage movements.

Procedure

The technique of coral peeling includes several stages:

  • after cleansing with natural soap, the peeling composition is applied to the epidermis. In a ratio of 1:2, the powder is combined with the activator, mixed and applied in a thin layer to the treated surface with a brush;
  • carrying out a light massage and rolling in coral crumbs for about 2 minutes;
  • in the process, a warm, damp gauze is used, which can warm up the skin. This will allow the pores to expand and cause blood flow;
  • the mixture is left for 5-7 minutes. At this stage, tingling and burning may be felt, which will disappear a few hours after the session. Active hyperemia (redness) is a good indicator of vasodilation and blood flow to the treated area, which will subsequently improve regeneration;
  • then gently remove the components with cold water and a sponge;
  • at the final stage, apply a special gel that protects against free radicals, sunlight, pollution and microbial penetration.

After coral peeling, swelling, redness, peeling, and pain are observed. Such manifestations may not be present in everyone and vary in severity depending on the depth of the coral peeling, sensitivity and initial condition of the skin. The healing period lasts about 5 days, when it is necessary to follow all the recommendations of a specialist. After this period, all post-peeling phenomena pass.

Rehabilitation period

Recovery after coral peeling lasts up to 5 days. During the first day, no procedures or actions with the face should be performed.

In the following days, it is recommended to adhere to the following rules:

  • be sure to apply sunscreen when going outside;
  • refrain from using decorative cosmetics;
  • use moisturizing water-based emulsions and do not use greasy creams;
  • use regenerating gels recommended at the place where the procedure is performed.
