Laser fibroma removal. Prices, reviews, ratings
General information
Fibroma is one of the so-called benign neoplasms. Its appearance is not a sign of cancer, but it means some kind of malfunction in the body, due to which the connective tissue grows, which serves as the basis for the neoplasm. This formation can be of three types:
- uterine fibroma;
- cutaneous tumor;
- a tumor that forms in the mammary gland.
This type of formation can be soft (it forms in skin folds) and hard (then it can appear on any part of the body). There are many possible methods for removing this type of tumor. One of the most effective, safe, and therefore in demand is laser removal. Of course, this technique is not a universal panacea. It will not cope with large neoplasms.
Procedure
Preparation
The patient must pass a series of tests, including a blood test. A consultation with a dermatologist is necessary, and if the tumor is near the eye, then an ophthalmologist, since laser surgery is unacceptable with high intraocular pressure.
Process of laser removal of fibroids
The procedure itself is not too complicated. The site of the operation is treated with an antiseptic and local anesthetic. Then, after setting up the device, the surgeon directly affects the fibroid. The procedure lasts about half an hour. It is bloodless (may cause minimal bleeding) and painless.
Rehabilitation period
After the operation, a special antiseptic bandage is applied to the area where it was performed, which also promotes faster healing.
Scar formation is possible only in the case of large tumors or if the skin itself does not have good regenerative abilities.
Indications and contraindications
This operation is highly specialized. It is used to combat benign tumors, which are overgrown connective tissue.
Contraindications
This operation is contraindicated in cases of poor blood clotting, oncological and endocrine diseases, as well as during pregnancy. Also, people with intolerance, i.e. hypersensitivity to laser radiation, should refrain from the operation.
Complications
The risk of inflammation and infection is practically eliminated given the use of antiseptics, the disinfecting effect of the laser itself and correct postoperative care.
Prices and clinics
Laser removal of fibroids is an effective and minimally invasive procedure, but the specialist who performs it requires considerable experience. Laser removal is performed by a dermatologist in specialized institutions. The medical portal will help you decide on the choice of a specialist and a medical institution.
