Gynecology is a branch of medicine that studies the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the female body, diseases of the internal female genital organs, methods of their diagnosis, prevention and principles of their treatment. At the moment, gynecology and obstetrics are a single clinical discipline, so doctors representing this section are divided into general gynecologists, obstetrician-gynecologists and gynecologist-endocrinologists.
