Indications for the procedure

MRI of the neck: contraindications

There are also a number of restrictions on this procedure. The following patients cannot undergo MRI of the neck:

• pregnancy and lactation;
• patients with heart failure;
• pacemakers, metal objects in the body;
• claustrophobia.

Preparation for magnetic resonance imaging

When using contrast, you should refrain from eating for 5 hours before the examination. The patient must warn the doctor about the presence of chronic diseases and allergic reactions. Immediately before the diagnosis, you must remove all metal objects and accessories.
