What are cuts?
By the term "cut", doctors mean a violation of the integrity of the skin or mucous membranes by physical impact on them with a sharp object.
If the cut was deep and bleeding began, it must be stopped immediately and the wound must be treated. The infection should not penetrate into the body, so the cut must be immediately washed with clean running water, but better - with 3% hydrogen peroxide, which not only stops bleeding, but also kills germs. If the bleeding does not stop immediately, the cut area should be tightly bandaged; small cuts can be sealed with bactericidal adhesive tape.
The dressing must be changed daily until the tissue in the cut area heals so much that the need for a bandage disappears on its own.
If foreign bodies get into the cut cavity, they should definitely be removed, but it is better to contact an emergency care specialist. If the cut was minor, but after some time you noticed severe redness, fever and other unusual symptoms - show the wound to a dermatologist or surgeon.

Home folk remedies for the treatment and healing of cuts
Let's start with the basics. For example, every person has sugar in the house, which not only makes our life sweeter, but also heals cuts perfectly. A fresh cut should be sprinkled with sugar and bandaged - the pain will quickly pass, and literally the next day the cut will begin to tighten and heal quickly - the main thing is not to remove the bandage and not to wet the damaged area.
An alcohol tincture of nettle quickly stops bleeding - it is better to always keep it in your home medicine cabinet. The recipe is as follows: take a glass bottle and fill it to the top with fresh nettle leaves, pour vodka or alcohol over them, and put it in the sun for 14 days, closing the lid. After the required period, strain the tincture, soak gauze swabs in it and apply to the resulting cut: the blood will quickly stop, infection will not occur, and the healing process will speed up several times.
Our ancestors treated cuts with reeds. They used its core, similar in color and appearance to cotton wool. If you apply this "cotton wool" to a fresh cut, the bleeding will soon stop.
There are also more original ways to treat cuts, for example, treating the injury site with pure machine oil. Most likely, this method was invented by men, because cuts and other injuries can happen anywhere, including on the road, and if suddenly there are no necessary first aid supplies in the car first aid kit, then you can get by with machine oil. Naturally, the oil must be purified; those who tried this method on themselves claimed that the pain quickly passed, and the cut healed without complications.
For healing cuts after the bleeding has stopped, it is good to use an ointment made from spruce resin. You should take equal parts of resin, honey, wax and sunflower oil, heat in a water bath, mix and cool. The cut should be lubricated until it completely heals.
A somewhat "wild" but effective method of treating cuts is with cobwebs. In the old days, people did not have antibacterial ointments, but there were many cut wounds (especially among peasants and soldiers). There is evidence that cobwebs healed not only cut wounds, but also hard-to-heal and festering wounds. Modern dermatologists explain this "miracle": the cobweb is similar in its properties to lymph, which "holds" our immune system, so wounds heal quickly. After applying the cobweb to the injured area, pain and swelling decrease literally in the first hours, and body temperature returns to normal.
Before applying the web to the wound, it is necessary to get rid of the insect legs and wings stuck in it - if they get into the wound, they can cause even more inflammation.
The last remedy on our list is less exotic than the previous one, but painful - it is a cognac salt solution. It is better to take 5-star cognac - ? of the bottle's volume, and fill the rest of the bottle with fine table salt so that the cognac rises to the very cork; the mixture is corked, shaken vigorously and left to brew for half an hour. The finished alcohol solution is used to treat cut and other wounds, treating them with a moistened swab. At first you will have to endure the pain, but already with the second treatment it will decrease, and then it will go away completely, and the wound will heal quickly.
So, folk remedies, as always, come to the rescue, even with cuts, but it is better not to get carried away with self-medication and in case of a cut, consult a doctor.
